Dopey Mopey and Tipsy is easily the best movie I've yet reviewed here on B-Movie Armada. That's probably because it's the most complete. It has a clear begining, middle and end with a defined - if nonsensical - story and identifiable characters.

The movie opens with Mopey at the bar. Mopey is a middle-aged women with a drinking problem. Her problem being that Tipsey, the bartender, is a lost cause. She tosses two drinks Mopey's way without Mopey even getting a sip. One ends up on the floor and the other is empty.

Now that we've met the first two stars, it's time to meet the third. Dopey is a sort of dumpy guy in a poor suit and a bad hat. He hits on a babe eating in the bar and - despite being told to get lost - makes himself at home. He eventually gets told off and drinks himself into a stupor. How's that for a turn of events? Mopey can't get a shot and this guy gets himself so drunk he falls asleep.

Mopey does get hit on by a drunk (someone else who got a drink before her), but after he swaps out for a doppleganger mid discussion, she blasts him over the bar with one well-placed blow.

Perhaps hearing the ruckus, a clown cop enters the bar. Yes, a clown policeman. He states that he's looking for 'some clown' and is told to check a mirror. It turns out that's looking for a clown mobster (has anyone seen a movie with Dopey, Mopey and Tipsy in it?) who he chases onto the roof. The mobster clown falls halfway off the roof, but is saved by the cop. Then copper pulls a gun on the crook but it turns out to be a prank gun. Ha ha. Seriously, when did this movie switch gears? What happened to Dopey, Mopey and Tipsy?

Oh, here they are. Mopey gets one over on Tipsy before the now-roused Dopey approaches and invites her out. And so we have a happy ending. This movie is good fun with a little out-of-place interlude in the middle. You'll greatly enjoy it. Four badges.
